A few months back
Plastic Seconds took part in the first major exhibition and auction by
Stitch at
The Dairy, near Russel Square.
Stitch is an organisation that raises environmental awareness through the arts.
Stitch does this by hosting events that use art to inspire and engage people with environmental issues.
This art auction featured the works of 40 artists - both emerging and established - working with a variety of different mediums to communicate a range of environmental issues including; Waste, Loss of Biodiversity, Sustainability, Water, Food, Farming, and more. The pieces started at £20 up to around £15,000 – so there was definitely something for everyone! Works by artists such as
Richard Long,
Darren Almond,
Marc Quinn and
Richard Wentworth, as well as many others, were featured. The event was in unison with
EJF,
Living Earth Foundation,
Greenpeace and

The pieces by
